Beyond the Horizon releasing August 26th, 2020

I’m absolutely delighted to share the cover of the new Bookouture edition of my book, Beyond the Horizon. This book is deeply personal for me, as my mother was in the Women’s Australian Auxiliary Air Force during the Second World War, and Beyond the Horizon is set around the incredible Women’s Air Force Service Pilots who flew for the United States in World War Two.

I travelled to Texas to research the book, and visited the WASP museum, then spent a couple of days with the wonderful then executive director, Ann Hobing, who showed me the long gone site where the WASP lived and trained, and also took me to the Women’s University of Texas, where they have the WASP archives.

The journey was incredible, and the stories of these brave women pilots, who inspired my characters, Eva, Nina, Helena, Nancy, Bea and Rita, is something I will never forget. I hope you enjoy reading the book as much as I loved researching and writing it.

I read Beyond the horizon. I am not a critic of any kind. I read20-25 books a year. My favorite type when I can find there are historical fiction. I am 2nd generation airplane and helicopter pilot mechanic and owner operator. Both our sons also fly. I really liked this book and very much appreciated the historical information on the wasps. Thank you for your book.
